Objective:  I CAN write a successful cover letter.

Tuesday (may be on paper or online)
  • Go to the site:Career and Life Planning
    • Write down a list of the basic things a cover letter should have
    • Click on Cover Letter Dos and Don'ts
      • Create a t-chart summarizing what you should and should not do on your cover letter
    • Click on View Letter Samples
      • Go down to Cover letter and open it up
      • Read 4 cover letters and answer the following:
        • Which cover letter do you think is most likely to get the job they are looking for and WHY?
        • Which cover letter is least likely to get the job they are looking for and WHY?
        • What are 5 things you learned from reading the cover letters that you will incorporate into your cover letter?
